From central Kuwait City, take the southbound Route 50, also known as King Faisal Road and follow it to the designated westbound turn off for the airport. The total drive time to the airport from the city centre is approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus:Buses to Kuwait City (route 501) depart from outside Arrivals. The journey time is about 30 minutes, and the fare is around KD0.25.
Taxi:Taxis (tel: +965 2431 9829) are readily available; the taxi desk is located in Arrivals on the ground floor. The fare to the city centre is around KD6-7. It is recommended to agree this fee in advance with the driver before entering a vehicle.

There are two banks that also provide currency exchange services within the large terminal.
Food:
There is a good choice of restaurants and cafés at Kuwait International Airport, predominantly in the food court after the security area. Numerous eateries are also available in the Commercial Centre next to the arrivals hall. Options at the airport include popular fast food outlets, coffee shops and an Italian restaurant.
Shopping:
There are two duty-free shops in the terminal, as well as a wide range of shops in the Commercial Centre adjacent to the terminal building.
Luggage:
Reports or enquiries of lost or found items can be made to the lost property office (tel: +965 2474 4256). An online submission form for lost items is available on the airport's website.
Other:
Other facilities at the airport include a nursery, several prayer areas and a medical centre. A children's play zone is situated in the departures hall.

Conference and business:
There are two first-class lounges with fax and internet facilities. Internet and business services, as well as secretarial support, courier services and a conference room, are also available from the business centre at the on-site Safir Airport Hotel (tel: +965 2227 1000; www.safirhotels.com).
Communication Facilities:
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available at numerous points within Kuwait International Airport, including the entrance hall, departure areas and luggage collection points. Additionally, public telephones are located at various points in the terminal and there are two mobile telephone hire outlets.
Disabled facilities:
The airport is accessible to physically disabled passengers. Lifts take passengers from the ground floor to the first floor, wheelchairs are available on request, and reserved car parking is available close to the terminal. Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to notify their airline before travelling.
Car parking:
Short- and long-term parking, with a capacity of around 2,500 vehicles, is available at Kuwait International Airport. Among the options is a multistorey car park immediately adjacent to the Commercial Centre, and a car park located on street level next to Arrivals. Passengers can reach the departures hall using escalators, travelators and lifts to the first floor of the terminal building. A long-term car park is situated a short distance away from the terminal building. Valet parking is also available.

International car hire companies: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and National are represented at Kuwait International Airport, along with a handful of local operators. Desks for all operators are located in the arrivals area.
