ATLNext (next.at.com), the airport’s 20-year re-development program is currently underway. It consists of a series of projects designed to boost capacity and upgrade existing facilities.

The airport customer service office (tel: +1 382 2920) is is located on the third floor of the domestic terminal and is open from 0815 to 1700, Monday through Friday. Information desks are located in the public areas of the domestic and international terminals. In addition, multilingual customer service representatives are on hand throughout the airport to provide assistance.
At the Custom processing area, there are 70 automated passport control kiosks which aim to expedite the entry process for Americans and visitors from a Visa Waiver Program country. Instead of filling out a paper declaration, you proceed directly to a kiosk, scan your passport, have your picture taken, answer a few questions and you're off.

From central Atlanta, get on the I-75 S, and then continue on toward Clayton County. After following the I-75 S, take exit 239 and follow the signs for CW Grant Parkway. Finally, continue straight onto Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Boulevard. The total drive time is around 15 minutes.
Transfer between terminals:
The electricity-powered ATL SkyTrain is a free shuttle service that allows passengers to easily and quickly commute between the two terminals.

Public transport road:
Coach: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is served by Greyhound Flightlink buses (tel: +1 888 287 6359; www.greyhound.com), which depart daily for a number of cities and states from the lower level of the Domestic Terminal.
Shuttle: Shared-ride taxis and door-to-door shuttles are available from numerous operators.
Taxi: Taxis can be booked for a set fee at the transportation centre in the domestic terminal and on the arrivals level of the international terminal. A special per-person rate applies for two or more passengers. Contact the taxi information line (tel: +1 404 530 3485) for further information. The fare into downtown Atlanta is US$30, and the journey time is 20 to 30 minutes.
Public transport rail:
Rail: Train services operated by MARTA (tel: +1 404 848 5000; www.itsmarta.com) leave the airport's domestic terminal for central Atlanta (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: US$2.50).

Money:
ATMs can be found throughout the terminals and concourses, and there is a bank branch in the atrium area of the Domestic Terminal. Currency exchange kiosks are also available in several of the concourses.
Food:
A good choice of restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets offer a wide variety of international cuisine in both terminals and within the concourses. These include a steakhouse in the domestic terminal's atrium and a seafood bar in the international terminal.
Shopping:
Numerous gift and souvenir shops, designer outlets and newsagents are located in the terminals and concourses. Duty-free shopping is available for international passengers.
Luggage:
The lost and found office is located on the upper levels of the north and south sides of the Domestic Terminal. There are no luggage storage services available at the airport.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is now available throughout Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. A mailbox is located in the atrium area of the Domestic Terminal.

There are covered short-term car parks with direct access to the terminals, as well as hourly parking areas in front of each terminal for pick-up and drop-off. Economy and long-term car parks are situated next to the covered parking areas and are linked by a courtesy shuttle.
