From central Quito, take the E28 highway east via Cumbayå towards Tumbaco, turning north onto the E35 at Pifo. After 3km (2 miles) on the E35, the Conector Alpachaca road branches off the E35 and leads directly to the airport. Owing to the winding nature of the roads around Quito and traffic congestion, the journey can take anything up to 100 minutes.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Public buses operate between the airport and the city bus stations. Journey time is somewhat longer than that of the coach, but the fare is much cheaper at US$2 per person.
Coach: The Aero Servicios coach service (tel: +593 2 604 3500;aeroservicios.com.ec) operates at 30-minute intervals, from 0330 to 2330, between the city centre and the airport (journey time: 90-100 minutes; additional charges can apply for extra luggage). Vehicles are air-conditioned, offer free Wi-Fi access and have English speaking staff. Tickets can be booked in advance on the company's website.
Shuttle: Shuttle minibuses serving major hotels in Quito are available outside Arrivals. Prices vary according to the destination.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the terminal building. Fares should be pre-paid at the desk in the terminal entrance, and range from US$25 to US$45 depending on time of day and number of passengers and destination. The journey time to the city centre also varies according to traffic, but is generally around 60 to 120 minutes.

Food:
There is a small selection of cafés, restaurants and snack bars both landside and airside.
Shopping:
Duty-free shopping is available for international passengers. Gift shops offer a range of local crafts and souvenirs, and the range of shopping outlets is expanding.
Luggage:
Left-luggage services are available at Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport, in the Arrivals Hall. Lost property enquiries should be directed to the Airport Security Office (tel: +593 2395 4260) or the airline concerned. Baggage trolleys are also available in Arrivals.
Other:
Rest rooms with baby changing facilities are available and there is a children's area in Domestic Departures. The Medical Center can assist with emergencies. Massage services are also available.

Conference and business:
There is a Business Center in the International VIP Lounge at Quito Mariscal Sucre International Lounge, which also provides Wi-Fi and cable TV. More extensive business facilities are available at the newly opened Wyndham Quito Airport Hotel (tel: +593 2 395 8000; www.wyndham.com) adjacent to the terminal), and at larger hotels in the centre of Quito.
Communication Facilities:
Public telephones are available throughout the terminal. Free Wi-Fi access is available in Departures and there are internet booths in Domestic Arrivals. There is also a post office box.
Disabled facilities:
Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport is fully accessible for wheelchair users and designated disabled parking spaces are provided. Assistance (tel: +593 2 395 4200, ext. 2718) is available upon request before arrival at the airport. In addition, the airline should also be notified of any special requirements.
