Festa del Redentore

Since 1577, Venetians have celebrated their deliverance from a terrible plague and the construction of the Basilica of Palladio, commissioned for the same reason, with a pontoon of boats, fireworks display and Holy Mass at the Church of the Redeemer on Giudecca.

Historical Regatta (Regata Storica)

This regatta is a very regal affair with traditional boats and reenactors in colourful costumes sailing from St Mark and down the Grand Canal.
