Airport news:

A new terminal building was completed in September 2015 and the old terminal building is now under construction. Once complete, the two buildings will serve as one terminal. A new hotel is also being built on the airport site.

The information desk (tel: +48 12 295 5800 or 0801 055 000) is located in the central area of the domestic terminal (Terminal 2). There is a tourist information desk in the international arrivals area of Terminal 1.

Driving directions:

Cracow John Paul II International Airport is easy to find. It can be reached from the city centre by a number of different routes heading east, and is well signposted from each. The airport also has its own exit ramp from the A4 motorway, which skirts the city centre. The journey time from central Cracow is approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Local buses (www.mpk.krakow.pl) 208 and 292, plus night bus 902, link Cracow John Paul II International Airport with the city. The journey time is around 25 minutes, and the single fare 400PLN. Bus stops are located near each terminal.

Taxi: A 24-hour taxi service is offered by Kraków Airport Taxi (tel: +48 12 258 0258), the airport's official taxi provider. The journey time from the airport to the city is about 20 minutes and the fare starts at PLN2900. Fares are fixed, depending on the duration of the journey, time of day and day of the week.

Public transport rail:

Rail: A train service (www.koleo.pl) operates between the airport and the city centre (journey time: 18 minutes; fare: PLN8). Trains run every 30 minutes during the day, or every hour early in the morning or late in the evening until midnight. The first train starts at 0404.The new Cracow-Balice train station is located at the rear of the airport's multi-storey car park.

Money:

There is a bank, an ATM and two foreign exchange offices in the airport.

Food:

Several restaurants, cafés and bars serving food, snacks and cold and hot drinks are available in the terminal, including an Italian restaurant and bistro.

Shopping:

Various shops are located in the public area of the terminal – these retailers sell a wide range of souvenirs, jewellery, spirits, tobacco and food products. A souvenir, fashion and duty-free shop (for passengers travelling outside the EU) are situated in the departures hall.

Luggage:

There are lost luggage offices located in the arrivals area and behind the Visitor's Centre.

Other:

There is an on-site chapel and two prayer rooms within the terminal.

Conference and business:

The business lounge (tel: +48 12 639 3354) is equipped with internet access, workspace, satellite TV, printer, copier, fax machine and a card phone. A conference room, for up to 12 people, is available in the VIP Terminal. Further meeting and conference facilities can be found at many of the larger city centre hotels and at the close-by Hilton Garden Inn Hotel (tel: +48 12 340 00 00).

Cracow John Paul II International Airport. A post office is also situated near the check-in desks in departures.

Cracow John Paul II International Airport offers good accessibility to travellers with disabilities. Toilets and lifts are adjusted to the needs of disabled people, and there are signs indicating the best routes through the terminal building and to the car parks. There are also trained personnel ready to help in every situation.

Limited short-term parking can be found outside the terminal. Long-term parking is available both in the open-air car park and within the new multi-storey facility opposite the terminal.
